Having courage does not mean that we are unafraid. Having courage and showing courage mean we face our fears. We are able to say, ‘I have fallen, but I will get up.’

I managed to go down to the shops in the old town today. This morning was me delivering a presentation for 45 minutes which worked out great. I also received good feedback that it was impressive, so well done me.
I was only going to buy a canvas but of course naturally ended up buying more than I should. I bought a Pink Floyd The Wall Wallet, which I wanted to buy since I have had a plain black wallet for years and not changed. I also bought this strange Nebula light from this cool giftshop. The light is for my bedroom at night since I am fed up of sleeping in the pitch black. I bought a shirt with a skeleton wielding guns on, and a pack of boxers with small bananas on, yummy. I did get a set of 3 canvas for £5 which I thought was quite cheap and a big tube of black acrylic paint for £2. On top of them I bought some awesome Grumpy Mule decaf coffee, some creamy planet saving oat milk chocolate (vegan), and some 85% Divine dark chocolate… they had no Montezuma but honestly that is probably too bitter at 100% and I was not in the mood. I also bought 3 pairs of candles in different colours, blue, light green/blue, and pink.
I was complimented on my combination of coffee and chocolate and it got me thinking… is this not normal then? I see people combine smoking with coffee, croissants, breakfast, fruit, many things. But chocolate, is this some sort of mind blowing unleashment of genius taste fantasy? It’s only earth so you know, lets eat it. The attraction to the combination is the caffeine in the chocolate since I drink decaffeinated coffee. Although this new oat milk chocolate discovery, which made me salivate as soon as I smelled it, was probably as I imagine crack cocaine would be to a junkie.
Who can blame us in the first world for having such fruity addictions? We have so much choice, that any combination of many things is okay but looks weird. What do you think pineapple on pizza was like as an idea? Now, there’s no stopping at pineapple on the pizza, you have burger pizzas (WTF?), lamb pizzas, chips on pizza. I mean the list of combinations is mind bending. Anyway, coffee and chocolate is good and I recommend trying it unless you have a restriction on diet.
Now I am talking about coffee, I could do with getting a coffee grinder or some sort of modern equipment to make my coffee making more convoluted as to appear proper to the people that may come round. I don’t want to give the impression that I don’t care about brands or monetary value.
Can you tell me your coffee combinations? Wizard loves you all, and wishes goodness, peace and prosperity to all of you, especially those in need. Amen. Namaste.
‘Art is the diverse range of human activity, and resulting product, that involves creative or imaginative talent expressive of technical proficiency, beauty, emotional power, or conceptual basis.’
To have limbs, and specifically, hands, is incredible. Think of what humans have achieved using their bare hands. The greatest of buildings with the most magnificent of architecture, designed and built by hands. The most extraordinary of paintings, the work of Michelangelo in the Sistine chapel. The healing abilities of the Son of God himself, worked through his fingertips.
The gift of art is beautiful. To have the intelligence to create a piece of structure with complex shapes, or paintings, or music, is mere mesmerisation. I suppose we don’t give much thought to the hands, but the hands allow us to produce art. I would imagine that is why we are separate from animals, not necessarily out of the shear fact we have hands, but having the ability to use them. How many dolphins do you see attempting to construct a paper aero plane? How many chimps do you see writing Beethoven and then playing the violin in time?
Do you want to share some of your art? If so, comment down below with where we can all go to find that art. You can post anything from poetry, to stories, to paintings, to photographs and more! There is no limit, and to honour Art, here is the titled poem:
Where art thou?art in heavencolours and watersstructures and shapesgiving us the dayfull of love and hate
Thank you for taking the time to read the short post on art. I hope to see some of your work below, if not, then please like and comment regardless if you enjoyed the poem!
I used acrylic. This is my main medium at the moment since I have no long started. I’m not very good but I think I did a decent job on the trees.
I received a new tube of titanium white today and some small 4x 20cm x 20cm canvas along with masking tape. I also like to paint skies in green. This sky does not have any clouds for a reason. The sky blends directly with something of a path. Basically I don’t care if it doesn’t make sense.
I bought a set of acrylic paints and I have already done 2 ‘landscape’ paintings. I am a beginner, although I have done some painting before, way way back in school as part of ‘art’ class.
I want to share them., partly for feedback and partly to see how bad they really are. I did enjoy myself though, so I suppose that is a good thing.
It seems to involve a lot of hand eye coordination and imagination. Being able to visualise something and then put brush to canvas is something I have never been good at. I enjoy going with the flow and trying to avoid using objects.
Feedback appreciated. I understand learning anything takes time. This was mostly to see what the creative part of my brain was capable of off the bat. Far from good, far from disastrous. The clouds leave something to be desired, I tried to bring them to the ‘foreground.’
