Welcome to Psychedelic Wizards blog and todays post about the art of Feng Shui. If you like what you read then please like, comment and follow the site for more interesting posts on a variety of topics.
The most ancient of practices that is Feng Shui – meaning wind-water – is the Chinese philosophy detailing how to create balance and harmony between the elements. This practice is used within the home, because it is a belief system that specific placement of objects in a space will greatly affect the energy and the flow and the harmony of our surroundings.
At the core, it is decorating to maximise the energy of a space, to make it more positive and minimise or eradicate negative energy build up. So what are the potential effects, or benefits of such a practice? As mentioned, the idea is to harmonise the energy so that a space is more positive, surely a huge benefit to anybody! Having a lighter energy home, feeling less cluttered and more vibrant would also make you feel mentally better, uplifting your mood, improving your mindset, helping you to achieve those goals, and possibly to sleep better too.
In Feng Shui there are the main ‘principles’. That of the ‘Commanding Position’, ‘the Bagua‘, and the ‘Five Elements‘. Using these principles together is the aim to create harmony.
Lets start with the Commanding Position. This is going to be the best way to place furniture within a room. Use this and apply it to all the main objects in a space, like the sofas in your living room, or the tv and stand, or the shelving units. Use it in bedrooms, by moving the bed to the further point from the doorway. Move your office at home around, or your desk, adjust the placement to furthest from the door, yet still facing the door. Being in the furthest point, yet facing it, is commanding a room.
Then you have the Bagua. This is an energy map identifying the elements you should place within the room to facilitate the flow of positive energy. Different areas are dealt with, like work and home and personal goals.
As you can see different colours and elements relate to different areas. Health and family for example, are green and blues, with wood as the element. If you don’t want to use all of the above, simply use a select few, or one or two. Trying something shouldn’t be a burden. When setting out the room look at the map and then focus on one room at a time and make sure you are clear what you want to bring to the room. If you wanted your bedroom with a focus on relationships you could use reds, white and pinks. Beds need to face the doorway, but not in direct line with it. Symmetry is important, so using flat and square shaped objects can help, along with flat objects.
Finally we have the Five Elements. They are: fire, water, wood, metal and earth. Feng Shui seeks to balance these elements in your home.
Each element is associated with different colours, seasons and shapes as seen in the picture above. Fire – red and triangular. Water – black and curved shapes. Wood – green/blue and rectangular columned shapes. Metal – white and circular/sphere shapes. Earth – brown/orange/yellow and flat and square objects.
If you want to add each element to a room you can start by using the colour or the shapes. You could light a white candle for example. Using more plants will help too. Being able to successfully place objects is key, and you need space to work with, so make sure to remove anything not needed and get rid of clutter and clear the doors. Big plants at the entrance can help. The entrance hallway is important to, or any hallway, try and keep it clear and bright. Plants are positive energy and connecting to the earth, so bring some big plants, or small ones into your home and keep everything fresh. They have the added benefit of literally purifying the air.
You have now learned a little about Feng Shui. Thanks for reading, how will you better use your space?

Today I had an assessment for my course. When I completed it I decided to go into town and get some coffee. Upon returning home, I decided to go back out to this huge park I have been planning to go to for a while. It is approximately 1.3 miles from where I live.
Trying to get there was more effort than I thought. I get anxious when I go to places I am not familiar with. It is also very cold and windy and I only had a hoodie. I did have walking shoes though which helped support the feet. So, all the pain was in the face. I had a bit of struggle to find it at first. When I did find it, it was such a relief for my anxiety. You see, I had to cross a big road, a sort of mega intersection and these areas cause me a lot of stress.
Upon arriving at the park I was immediately taken back by the shear size of it, even from the entrance you can tell it is huge. Unfortunately the café shut at 4pm and I was there around 4:30pm. I decided to follow the path that seemed to go from the entrance right through the middle It took me all the way round, with some old buildings and ponds. It is a memorial park so a lot of benches dedicated to the deceased. There were multiple grass trails and pavement routes but I was intent and satisfied to simply loop it. All in all, I was there about an hour walking. There is a few sections which are particularly nice and relaxing, simple because they have maintained flowers beds and hedges. There was plenty of dogwalkers. It also rained briefly so I bet I looked quite funky inn my sunglasses.
For fun there is a few bowling greens, a café, museum – which apparently is closed down – a park for kids, old buildings to look at, ponds to look at, lots of paths and a yew maze. You can see over part of the town and city as the park it quite high up. Aside from the cold weather I enjoyed it a lot. I made a plan to go and I enacted it.
Altogether it was about 3 miles there and back amounting to about 40 minutes walking there and back. I have been trying to increase the exercise I do. I am also looking at getting a bike, so the park is the perfect place to go. Also, there was a cool section involving a cobble path which led under a bridge. Apparently the architect of the hall there was Thomas Harrison which I found to be a cool coincidence.
Since it was a memorial park, it did bring back memories of my own, some painful. I think places like that do have a melancholy feel, not the fault of the land, but being memorial is a place where people can ‘remember.’ I think I had a feeling of, ‘I wish certain people could be here with me.’ It wasn’t that I was alone that bothered me, but the feeling that I could have shared that with someone, who may not be here now. I suppose it is part of grief and we all carry that at some point. I suppose walking is good for mental health so taking that step is important. I encourage anyone to wrap up warm and do the same, grab a walking buddy if you have a friend or family member who might be interested.
How do you feel about this? What walks have you been on lately? Thank you for reading. I really appreciate all the support from you, it means so much to have people liking my posts and more importantly, reading them.
The universe is so big that we cannot see it all. We live in a solar system, with the sun at the center. Once upon a time it was believed to be the center of the universe. Did you ever watch a space movie and wonder, what if? It is great to dream of the unknown, although it can be a bit unnerving.
No matter what you think you know about life, you will always discover more, outside of your own bubble. There can be hope and there can be faith and courage, triumph in the hour of our darkest of moments, light in the most deepest recesses of the paradox of our lives. I say to you, do not fear one another, do not fear love. In your hearts you are eternally connected, and in your mind, individually crafted so as to be able to love each other in your own way.
In the solace of space and time, where no wind or dirt shall befall you, be immersed into passionate existence. Grab the universes energy, and harness it for good. Have in your hearts the love that you want to give to another. I want you to know, that you are able to be forgiven, and to forgive.
Welcome to Psychedelic Wizard. It’s Monday which means most of you will be off to work for the day, some of you may be off to college or school. Some may be enjoying retirement and others might simply not be at work this day!

Upcoming & New Rock Albums
Upcoming albums that may be of interest to you include Joe Satriani’s Elephants of Mars which can be pre-ordered by clicking this link. It is due to release on the 8th April 2022. Joe has already uploaded a few videos to YouTube about the new album along with songs like ‘Sahara’ and ‘Faceless’, both of which are excellent. Arguably a rock album.
Scorpions have released new album ‘Rock Believer’ on 25th February 2022. An iconic band with some huge songs and albums. Bringing 80’s hair rock to the front of most rock fans minds with classics like ‘rock you like a hurricane.’
Ozzy Osbourne is working on the release of album no.13 after his last album release in 2020, which came ten years after the previous album. He is still active in music, both recording and touring and is available to watch this year at various venues. After Black Sabbath said goodbye way back in 2017, it will be nice to see how to pairing with Tony Iommi on the yet unnamed new album will pay off.
Red Hot Chili Peppers recently got a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. In Los Angeles they are even bigger, since that is where hey grew up. Creators of 1999 Californication and one of the biggest rock bands in history, have released their 12th album. Their newest creation, called ‘Unlimited Love’ was released in April 2022 is already no. 1 on Amazon under pop and alternative rock.
The most recent headlines are quite concerning as usual. In my previous post I mentioned about the increase in politicians salaries, members of parliament. I think this needs to be revoked or at least given considerable thought to before proceeding. The basic annual salary for a member of parliament in the House of Commons is £81,932 as of April 2020. Members of parliament can also claim allowances to cover the costs of running an office and employing staff, and maintaining a constituency residence or a residence in London. Salary is paid for appointments or additional duties, such as ministerial appointments, being a whip, chairing a select committee or chairing a public bill committee.
The war between Ukraine and Russia rages on. Russian soldiers were recently poisoned en-mass by civilians of Ukraine. Russians have now allegedly been ‘digging up’ the remnants of the Chernobyl incident, which could have them in possession of deadly poisons in no time.
The Taliban having taken over Afghanistan have now banned the growing or cultivation of poppies. Afghanistan being the biggest producer of poppies. Poppies are used to create addictive substances and the group has made it clear they do not want that in their country. Despite what economic impact this could have, or the fact that medicine can be created using them.
There has been a mass shooting in California capital, Sacramento. Six people have been killed and 10 injured in a shooting said to have taken place early morning on Sunday. The shooting took place in the downtown area, which is packed full of bars and restaurants.
Tory MP David Warburton has been admitted to a psychiatric hospital following allegations into his conduct. Allegedly two women have come forward and made formal complaints to the ICGS about his behaviour and a third woman has also made allegations about his conduct. The allegations supposedly relate to sexual misconduct and a claim that he had taken cocaine. Seems like he has had a rough time, maybe the pay rise will help?

Short Story ~ Waiting
We all spend some time waiting. She spends most of her time waiting. Today is hot and humid, under the baking sun in Brighton seaside. Lilies, her hand full of the bloomed bunch. She had them trimmed but is now wondering how to get them home before they die in he heat. She is waiting on the scolding pavement for a ticket so she can move her car. Her day had been full of surprises, she thought. When she woke up this morning, she had a call that her bank account had to be unfrozen by her visiting her bank to confirm her identity. She had that twisting in her gullet but she still went into the branch. Her Gucci sunglasses gave her the cover she needed to discretely roll her eyes, just as she was doing now, third in the queue.
Sun was approaching midday and with every passing second bullets of sweat beaded along her forehead. She had no tissues, only issues. Whoever stood in front, some overweight, light blue Hawaiian shirt wearing geezer with some straw hat. Oh, God, she thought, he stinks. If her hands weren’t quaking with adrenaline or wrapped around the lilies she might knock his fat ass hat off. Like some sweet moment of synchronicity he left the queue in a huff, waddling away. Her chest sunk as she sighed.
Now what! The man at the machine helping with tickets seemed to be using his walkie talkie, and he looked over to her, which made her shudder at the thought of him coming near her. One of the lilies drooped and fell to the floor and she stood on it, crushing it instantly. It was too much, her free fist balled up and she lunged forward, knocking the lady in front to the side and punching the man on the walkie directly in the face. Her knuckle cracked and the man dropped his walkie talkie. “I’m not waiting anymore for a fucking ticket.”
Standing alone in solitude. Patience. Themes of underlying rage and unresolved emotions. A life of misery made worse by the heat. I guess it was a high pressure situation and it got too much for her.

*Please consider reading and reviewing my second published book Beach Town: Hope. The book hasn’t had the attention or reviews that an author would expect. I made it exclusive to Amazon so that may have impeded the reach.
I have changed the font size to 13 to see if it makes the post look neater. I got up quite late today and honestly my sleep hasn’t been great since the clocks moved forward an hour last week. I am enjoying the warmer weather – although the other day is snowed heavily for 5 minutes. It is sunnier and in the evening taking a stroll around the streets with that warm refreshing breeze can really be rewarding. I also talk about looking after yourself and having a loving caring nature, to love yourself.

Next Sunday will be a pleasant day for me as I am planning to go bowling. I really hope to go when space bowling is on, which means they change the lights to darken the room. I used to really enjoy bowling but over the years stopped going for whatever reason. Hopefully it is a good day, it will be the first time in a few years since I went to a place specifically to socialise in a group. Being with other people is a sure way to provide yourself with that mental boost you need. I am thinking about setting up a morning coffee meeting group where people can come togethe to discuss their struggles. But time needs to pass and plans need to be enacted. You can always connect virtually, using Skype among others. They allow groups to connect and chat for a long time.
The recent breaking headlines are more depressing and nonsensical nonsense. MP’s in England are getting a pay rise, yes, even as energy prices continue to rise year on year, as food become more expensive for less, how the cost of fuel has risen, the increase in taxes, the reduction in benefits and anything meaningful to the majority of people, still the people who can afford two homes, a boat and 3 cars and a personal chef need more money. The age of austerity, such a load of *******. We now have a huge international crisis in the form of the pandemic which is raging as a quieter yet fierce undercurrent which is being slowly but surely swept under the rug, due to the failures on a massive scale of every government in the modern world. We still need those booster shots though, because that reinforces any idea that the pandemic is still in force. Then we have the completely removed from the public eye crisis in Afghanistan, which hundreds of thousands of refugees fled after the country was taken over by Taliban. I guess they had 2 years of pandemic to prepare and strike. The media have completely forgotten about this incident or about any images of desperate civilians falling from planes. I guess having your country hiijacked by murdering rapists isn’t popular anymore. Then there is now a huge war in UKRAINE, that’s right. Russia launched a full scale – rockets and soldier attack – on the country in February. Tensions have been high since 2014, arguably well before that. It comes down to NATO membership or something. Basically, bald Putin doesn’t want NATO to tarnish UKRAINE and the fight is to protect them. What is more depressing is seeing dozens of buildings packed up with bags and bags of donations of clothes among other things allegedly going to support those in need. Did the war suddenly suck all the clothes away? Would a pack of baby wipes and talcum powder go amiss? Of course, there is nobody in the UK in need to those clothes, or that money, no. Instead, we are told that the homeless in England and Wales are lazy, poor and not worth helping. What about the soldiers who came back to England to find they hadn’t the money or support to live after serving their own countries?

Short Story ~ Love and Hate
When you spend a night with the girl of your dreams, you end up feeling like you hit the roof or went temporarily insane. The next morning, even though she is gone, you know it was satisfying. Well, what if that woman turned up the next night, uninvited? That is what happened to this gentlemen, Gabriel. He was a quiet man who for the most part kept to himself barr the Fridays when he used to spend a few hours drinking with his mates in the local tavern. Living in the city had taken its toll on him. occasionally he felt like it was too much only to end up back in the office next Monday morning making small talk on how the coffee machine was playing up again. He worked in an advertising firm, they managed everything from huge McDonalds adverts to smaller niche adverts for dog grooming products. It was busy, it was hectic, but he enjoyed it for the most part.
That’s why getting that girl back to his had helped him so much, you see. He didn’t need the satisfaction of the sex, no, he needed to know that he was still that raging tiger beneath all the love and pain of his mundane life. She had the succulent long brunettes hair that dripped to her waist. Her waist had been rather thin, and she was toned, athletic. She reminded him of a model. Her breasts enlarged and squishy to touch, yet nipples that he could nibble all night. It had been a bit too much though, and he thought he had let himself go a bit too much, at one point riding her like she was his wife or something. But to see her back on his doorstep, plump cherry red lips, light pink skirt and darkened floral blouse almost brought him to his knees as his heart raced. It was raining, throwing it down onto the pavement outside. Her hair wet. Was this a nightmare or just fantasy?
He didn’t know her name, so he couldn’t tell her to go away. Gabriel made a fatal error, he slowly stepped aside and the woman entered the house. She had no coat, she had wet dripping hair leaving stained on the white carpet through the hallway as she made her own way into the back of the house, toward the living room. It was all too much for Gabriel, he wanted to tell her to go but she was silent, tantalising and somehow still as delicious as the previous night. Please go, he thought. She was no telepathic creature, nor a woman of emotions. She simply sat on the sofa, letting her wet hair fall onto the cushions. She kicked her high heels off.
‘Why have you come back?’ he asks, feeling his hands tremble and his heart pulsate.
‘Less talk,’ she replies. She begins to undo her blouse, revealing the flesh beneath. Gabriel sees a diamond ring on her left hand, third finger. What had he got himself into? She left him alone in the living room, standing against the wall like a mannequin, too paralysed to understand what is happening, yet prepared to act. The lady had gone into the kitchen and Gabriel could hear her routing through the cupboards. He looked at his own left hand, third finger, and he too possessed the same ring.

If there was ever a stranger place on earth or in heaven than the human mind, let it be known.
Humans for centuries have strived for development of individuals and society as a collective. Building vast empires and civilisations which flourish for many decades, even centuries. But, they all come crashing down. The most excellent of cultures, like Egypt, like the Aztecs, are washed away… seemingly to be found thousands of years later as relics and remnants of a history long gone. What of the tales of Alexandria, or the library that burned down? What of the ancient knowledge that these civilisations possessed. Where has all that information gone?
You won’t be surprised to know, that the majority of it will be suppressed, locked away in decaying ancient vaults, never to see daylight again. Select people on the other hand, are aware of what information is contained within, and with such, have literally moved human consciousness and evolution to suit their own agenda. Do you know the real reason Pharaohs had all the power whilst the majority slaved away to build the pyramids. Information and knowledge that would change mankind instantly is otherwise held or destroyed… why? What could it be that they do not want us to know about? Aliens and secret space races visiting earth, developing nations for thousands of years, to then destroy them when they no longer suit their masters needs.
That is all external. What counts is what is on the inside. What do you know about yourself? Do you like to read about ancient stargates? Perhaps you are interested in alien human genetic modification and hybridizations programs. What about the idea that an evil occult group runs and owns all the elite royal families and presidencies and celebrities in the world? Does any of it sounds plausible?
You can see literally what is inside, that is, ‘inside the ear’ from the above diagram. You know you have a heart and brain and you might not give thought to autonomous processes or even to your own feelings and emotions. If you ever feel ‘hurt’ when someone upsets you, ask yourself, why. Where does that hurt come from, where does the pain and trauma form or manifest. Is it mere fragments of an illusion? The illusion being your own existence, on the path to reunite as the source of all things. You created this life, literally shaping the world around you, and no… it is not magic.
The ear diagram shows us that there is 3 parts, although not labelled. There is the outer ear, the middle ear and the inner ear. When you get to the inner ear, you are in the labyrinth. Did you see that movie Pan’s Labyrinth ? I’ll come onto that in a moment. The point is, that you can see the diagram of the inside of the ear. You know from research and scans, that we have been told that inside the body is the heart and the liver and the kidneys among others. You were told that information, you never sought to understand that, you just assumed you ‘functioned’ since you were born. Unless you were unwell and needed to have scans or invasive surgery in which case, you trust that the ‘doctors’ went ‘inside’ to resolve the issues. You never needed to learn this about yourself and all knowledge came from an external source, whether it be teachers, doctors or whatever.
Contrast that with the ancient civilisations. You might be thinking, ‘looking at the alien picture I already know what he is going to suggest.’ Well, no you don’t. The alien picture above is a symbol in this post. It is a symbol of something being alien, as opposed to an intelligent life form. Carl Jung In 1958 concluded that it was more desirable for humans to believe UFO’s exist than to believe they don’t exist. He also concluded that UFO’s were example of synchronicity, where external events mirror internal psychic states.
“As we know from ancient Egyptian history, they are manifestations of psychic changes which always appear at the end of one Platonic month and at the beginning of another. Apparently they are changes in the constellation of psychic dominants, of the archetypes, or ‘gods’ as they used to be called, which bring about, or accompany, long-lasting transformations of the collective psyche.”
Collective psyche is the idea the the human race shares an unconscious collective unconsciousness, which affects the world. Just as we project our emotions, so too do we project our psyche without even realising it. Alchemists used to do the same some centuries ago.
We can see any image we want, and gather information we seek. We do not however imagine that aliens or UFO’s would be the result of psychic changes. People claim that aliens built the pyramids. They also claim millions have been abducted. Manifestations though are significant in understanding what is ‘within’ ourselves. “an event, action, or object that clearly shows or embodies something abstract or theoretical.” Is it possible collectively, the human race has already manifested all it needs to know, or will it continue to bring in new ideas? But just as history teaches us, civilisations get too good, they collapse and they end. Species are wiped from the planet, like the dinosaurs, wiped from the earth by an asteroid, or the great flood, in which Noah had to rescue the animals who otherwise would have been killed alongside the Nephilim.
Being able to guide your own light and life is amazing. Having the strength to build yourself up and make yourself and the world a better place is a fantastic start. But, what do you really know? Do you have clear knowledge of your own body, of your own psyche? Did you ever question anything taken undoubtedly to be true? Sometimes the most engrained of norms in society turn out to be false, to be lies. It is time to start uncovering how you feel, to set aside stereotypes and ideas that no longer belong to you. We can see people already expressing these changes throughout the globe. What do you want to be?
Knowledge, as Indiana Jones says in the Kingdom of the crystal skull, was the treasure or secret or the alien visitors. You see, the bad Soviet lady gets burned to death by the aliens for wanting too much of it. Maybe this film has more important messages for humanity, such as, stop, take a literal look inside and around you and love and enjoy what you have. If ancient Egypt fell apart, for whatever reason, did it reflect their level of understanding of life and the universe? Is stargate worth exploring, ancient stargates, purported to allow humans to literally teleport around the globe. Has the positioning of the pyramids, aligned with Orions belt, got significance?
Coming briefly onto Pans labyrinth, let’s look at the meaning of the words. Pan is firstly a God:
“In ancient Greek religion and mythology, Pan is the god of the wild, shepherds and flocks, rustic music and impromptus, and companion of the nymphs. He has the hindquarters, legs, and horns of a goat, in the same manner as a faun or satyr. With his homeland in rustic Arcadia, he is also recognized as the god of fields, groves, wooded glens and often affiliated with sex; because of this, Pan is connected to fertility and the season of spring. The word panic ultimately derives from the god’s name.”
pasted from wikipedia
Pan is the short of Pansexual, meaning someone who does not see gender when it comes to sex, to put it simply. Pan means all inclusive. It is a popular word used throughout the globe.
Labyrinth, which also means maze:
“In Greek mythology, the Labyrinth was an elaborate, confusing structure designed and built by the legendary artificer Daedalus for King Minos of Crete at Knossos. Its function was to hold the Minotaur, the monster eventually killed by the hero Theseus. Daedalus had so cunningly made the Labyrinth that he could barely escape it after he built it.”
In the movie, Pans labyrinth, a faun is found within the labyrinth, literally befriending the girl throughout the movie. We can see from the above that inside the labyrinth is a minotaur, it is a monster, a bad monster. The interesting part is calling it Pans labyrinth. Pan is the God, right? Actually, the faun, is Pan. It is quite literally deceiving the little girl into this dangerous place.
The girl called… rather dubiously, Ofelia. This name… yet again derived from Greek, meaning ‘Help.’ Why call a little girl befriending a monster, stuck with uncaring parents, ‘help’? Minotaurs were also fed children, or small humans. What do you know still? Does the knowledge make you sick or are you interested to know more, so to avoid such ugly movies? Pan, of sexual deviance. Yet, a girl lured into the labyrinth to be ‘Queen’ of the ‘underworld’ ultimately paying the price through death. Pan, the so called ‘help’ of Ofelia, or a mere liar who uses Ofelia, seeking ‘help’ to open the gates to the underworld… hell. Pan is nothing more than Satan. Ofelia is crying out for emotional and physical love, yet she gets Pan, a deviant. She is roped into a deal with Pan, and she is in need of supernatural ‘help’ at that point. I dare not venture into Narnia, which the first creature the little girl sees is a faun… Pan.
Do you know what you think you know? Has your inner most thoughts been changed at some point, or are you still waiting for someone to tell you the truth?
