Hi all you wonderful followers! I hope you are having a good productive start to the new month.

May I ask, how are you all?

I am okay, but I feel like I am surviving at the moment rather than thriving. I guess this has been the case for some time. Finishing the novella Beach Town: Survivors was a boost though. But I need to complete editing it and then publish it here for you all to read. I wrote it fairly quickly. You can read the ‘blurb’ or back cover here 👇 any feedback welcomed, or general thoughts on any aspect. If you just want to know a little more, then ask!

So life seems to be continually spinning around and passing by. They say the older you are, the quicker time passes. It feels faster over the last few years, probably because of everything going on.

Now onto something both ridiculous, and offensive: 👇 (I am not associated with these messages, the phone or anything else in this screenshot).

I want to know what led to this conversation. Sounds like the guy is the one in the wrong, but we don’t know what the woman said before this, so is quite possible she led him on in some way. Anyway, hilarious comments ensued such as ‘smooth talker,’ and ‘he’s keen.’

Gossiping around the kitchen table. Tastes like melon salad. ‘Gimme the sugar baby.’ I’m sure you’ll all feel well when you start eating smart tablets. Please remember to fold your tray in the upright position in the event of a crash landing.

I welcome any thoughts on the above messages. I found it both disturbing and funny, in the sense that I could not tell if this was serious. Maybe they are just pulling our legs? I’ll end of a free style poem;

How do you feel at the end of the day? Welcome to this evening post by Psychedelic Wizard. This blog will cover poetry, some info on my new short story, and some interesting facts… but not in that order.

Bring some life into your home! Plants are like ‘essential’ to have in your living spaces. The oxygenation and the vibrant life force are surely enough to strengthen anybody’s weary soul.

This is a dracaena and I recently got one for my birthday. They make lovely additions and are quite chatty.

Increasing the green space can boost mental clarity and help alleviate some of the symptoms associated with depression and anxiety. For example I notice I don’t feel so alone when surrounded by flowers or plants. Don’t let the idea of this put you off, you don’t need a jungle to feel the effects, which are very real indeed.

Don’t Be Afraid.

Welcome to Psychedelic Wizard. This is a welcoming environment where you can openly criticise and reflect without fear of persecution.

I’ve gained followers, and I’ve lost followers, which can be disheartening. It makes me wonder if I did something wrong, or if I over did my posting. I don’t intend to bombard you, rather, to post a sufficient amount of content that I like to post and which I enjoy making, and which can be reached by enough people to potentially create a bigger following. So, losing followers although sad is understandable, if the values are not in alignment anymore. What I mean by that is the people unfollowing are not feeling the site energy anymore or perhaps are fed up and not interested. I always appreciate on-going support and want you to know that. I am grateful for the audience on WordPress. Some of you have been liking, commenting and more for many years. I just hope that I have an audience in the future.

I do get disheartened when I see other blogs with thousands of followers, who probably got that in a lot less time than I even got to 500. I have tried to post consistent content for a few years now, but somehow my post counter doesn’t even seem to be close to what it should be. There are occasional glitches in WordPress sites, such as some appearing ‘unsafe’ or ‘virus ridden’ even though they are not. I suspect the content on the sites are a factor, and have been classified as dangerous because of that. I have struggled to access certain blogs from time to time because of this issue.

But it brings me happiness to see long-term bloggers who are still contributing and putting effort into their amazing blogs. I love to read them and explore new sites and topics. It always amazes me how little they expect in return. I won’t name anybody but I am so happy to be following a few blogs which have been motivational and inspirational for many years that I have been reading. You may know who you are!

Residing in the Pleroma

The pleroma was a term for heaven. Aeons were the divine beings inhabiting the pleroma, consisting of the trinity and the angels.

The trinity is : collectively, The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit. We can see from the diagram below that God is all 3 elements. He is The Father, Son and Holy Spirit. It clears up the common misconception that both The Father and Son are the Holy Spirit, a common misunderstanding.

Feng Shui – What is this ancient practice?

Welcome to Psychedelic Wizards blog and todays post about the art of Feng Shui. If you like what you read then please like, comment and follow the site for more interesting posts on a variety of topics.


The most ancient of practices that is Feng Shui – meaning wind-water – is the Chinese philosophy detailing how to create balance and harmony between the elements. This practice is used within the home, because it is a belief system that specific placement of objects in a space will greatly affect the energy and the flow and the harmony of our surroundings.

At the core, it is decorating to maximise the energy of a space, to make it more positive and minimise or eradicate negative energy build up. So what are the potential effects, or benefits of such a practice? As mentioned, the idea is to harmonise the energy so that a space is more positive, surely a huge benefit to anybody! Having a lighter energy home, feeling less cluttered and more vibrant would also make you feel mentally better, uplifting your mood, improving your mindset, helping you to achieve those goals, and possibly to sleep better too.

In Feng Shui there are the main ‘principles’. That of the ‘Commanding Position’, ‘the Bagua‘, and the ‘Five Elements‘. Using these principles together is the aim to create harmony.

Lets start with the Commanding Position. This is going to be the best way to place furniture within a room. Use this and apply it to all the main objects in a space, like the sofas in your living room, or the tv and stand, or the shelving units. Use it in bedrooms, by moving the bed to the further point from the doorway. Move your office at home around, or your desk, adjust the placement to furthest from the door, yet still facing the door. Being in the furthest point, yet facing it, is commanding a room.

Then you have the Bagua. This is an energy map identifying the elements you should place within the room to facilitate the flow of positive energy. Different areas are dealt with, like work and home and personal goals.

As you can see different colours and elements relate to different areas. Health and family for example, are green and blues, with wood as the element. If you don’t want to use all of the above, simply use a select few, or one or two. Trying something shouldn’t be a burden. When setting out the room look at the map and then focus on one room at a time and make sure you are clear what you want to bring to the room. If you wanted your bedroom with a focus on relationships you could use reds, white and pinks. Beds need to face the doorway, but not in direct line with it. Symmetry is important, so using flat and square shaped objects can help, along with flat objects.

Finally we have the Five Elements. They are: fire, water, wood, metal and earth. Feng Shui seeks to balance these elements in your home.

Each element is associated with different colours, seasons and shapes as seen in the picture above. Fire – red and triangular. Water – black and curved shapes. Wood – green/blue and rectangular columned shapes. Metal – white and circular/sphere shapes. Earth – brown/orange/yellow and flat and square objects.

If you want to add each element to a room you can start by using the colour or the shapes. You could light a white candle for example. Using more plants will help too. Being able to successfully place objects is key, and you need space to work with, so make sure to remove anything not needed and get rid of clutter and clear the doors. Big plants at the entrance can help. The entrance hallway is important to, or any hallway, try and keep it clear and bright. Plants are positive energy and connecting to the earth, so bring some big plants, or small ones into your home and keep everything fresh. They have the added benefit of literally purifying the air.

Can People See Angelic Beings?

Angels are around us all the time, listening to our thoughts, guiding us, being with us in need and providing comfort and guidance. We can’t see them though, or can we?

There are accounts in the bible of angelic encounters, and modern day encounters too. But what is an encounter? Well, it’s not going to be easy to tell all the time, unless you see one in the physical plane which is rare, but not impossible. An angel may be an assuring voice, a gentle touch on the arm, the sensation of being warm even on your own. Supposedly they can take on human form to help you. Other times they may appear with angelic wings to reassure you or to bolster your faith.

They are the beings of heaven, interdimensional messengers between us and the creator. They have boundless love and never give up on you. It is there intention to help human beings. Since angels radiate light, they come from the light of heaven, another realm of existence, it is hard for them to be in light form we can see.

But they do appear as lights, variety we may not even give a thought to: A coloured light coming across you vision, glowing orbs (not sure on this), flashed of light, streams of bright white light like the sun, burst of small clouds of light. You might see the outline of something that looks like light for a brief moment. The angel can be mist, or like mist, which is white gossomer like substance. It could be significant, it might not be. You judge your own experiences, and if any message’s are being conveyed you should try and ground yourself. A good thing to check is whether your hairs on your arms stand on edge, if they do it means the air is charged, which may well be a sign of an angel being present.

Angels coming to us with wings, or in the form we anticipate, which may or may not be their true form, can be unsettling. Angels in the bible instructed that humans should not be afraid when they encounter an angel with wings. This is a celestial being with great strength and power and an extremely important role in heaven and earth. Do not be afraid though, they are benevolent and have qualities of goodness and purity. Just a friendly reminder, they are kind to good people, and I cannot imagine them not intervening if you attempt to physically hurt someone else who you should not hurt. Angels are intelligent beings, and understand what is good and bad. Bad people have demons, but we don’t talk about them in this post.

In a 2002 study which interviewed 350, most of them in the UK who had experiences of angels, describe several types of experiences. They talk about visions, conveying warnings, senses of being touched, pushed or lifted to avert danger, pleasant fragrances.

Angels appear to the shepherds

There is guardian angels, meant to look over us personally out whole lives. What people might not realise is that some people have more than one, some have two. I believe the people with more than one are particularly special, or maybe they will need the extra support in life. God sees and knows all and has factored this into the whole equation. That doesn’t mean you are restricted to the help of your guardian angel. As I mentioned at the start, they are everywhere and several angels may help you in one day. Angels do not have to get permission from you to help, just accept it. Even non-believers have encountered these beings. If you recall my post on alchemy you will see that hundreds of years ago people were not only seeing but also communicating with angels. Take that with caution, and never let anything you don’t trust to trick you. Angels answer to God and Him only, and has been warned before, if an angel accepts praise or worship you are not in their presence.

Angels can show us love even if we cannot see them. They may hug us, they may wrap their wings around us, surrounding our bodies in angelic protective energy, bathing us in warm heavenly light and love. When this happens, it might be because you are in a worrisome time, or are sad, or maybe you are grieving and their presence is thought to help.

I had an uplifting experience at my old apartment. I was grieving around that time, but I was not crying. I simply lay in bed and suddenly I could see the misty outline of an angel, a human like body with wings. I was falling asleep so never gave it much thought. It made me feel warm as the wings wrapped around me, and I woke up refreshed. I don’t know if I encountered an angel but it was really pleasant to know someone was there for me.

I have talked about essential oils a few times on my site. They are excellent tools for boosting wellbeing, mindfulness, physical illness and spiritual connection. Some oils also help to better connect with the angels.

Frankincense is by far the most spiritually ‘high’ vibration in oils. It was considered in biblical times to be more valuable than gold. It helps calm and raise your vibrations so you can connect with angels. The higher vibration the easier for you to see them. Rose oil is incredibly powerful too, allowing you to open your heart and be more connected with love and the angelic realm. Lavender can help calm stress and anxiety and allow you to prepare and see angels without worrying. Quiet mind is key to communication. So too is raising the vibration.

So if you think angels are surrounding you then good, because that is better than the polar opposite. There can be changes in the air in that it becomes charged, your hair is on edge, maybe you feel an electricity around you or your have a strong uplift in energy. Do you believe in angels? Save Yourself – The Path To Forgiveness

Wizard wants to talk to you all about forgiveness. It is evident that through time and space that beings have had to forgive at some point in their lives. It is symbolic, it is truth, it is in all of us. Whatever you see forgiveness as, know that you are capable of it.

Before going any further, you may want to check out ‘emotions of colour‘ which touches on the connection between how colour affects us and how it can change us. It also touches on forgiveness. The poem Transcend is also good for looking at what forgiveness is.

Healing can be painful. It is a process and takes time which is what a lot of people don’t realise. You can’t expect to heal after a day of meditation, or after walking a hundred miles in the hope that you will suddenly rid yourself of any burdens such as guilt, shame or lingering anger at how you have been wronged. People who have been hurt, really hurt, which has caused them anxiety and depression, misery and other emotions, are the ones I am aiming this at. That is not to exclude those wronged in the supermarket checkouts, or those shouted at because they crossed the road at the wrong time. No, it is aimed to those who have deep emotional wounds which are likely to have cause them significant distress because if they can come to heal through time and to eventually forgive, then they will benefit the most, since it will be such a big part of development for them

Healing is the path to forgiveness. Without awareness of the issues you will find it hard to begin any journey to healing. Most people are aware of the issues which is great for starting to the path to forgive the wrongs they have suffered. Healing of the heart is where a lot of this will take place, since the heart is the center for love and for the connection to the universe. My post on healing the heart touches upon awareness. You have to be aware of the issues to change. Change will come from acceptance. Once you accept the issues and the pain you are in or was in, you will be on the path changing who you are.

To forgive takes more than to heal though, since we are talking about not only emotional healing, but mental, physical and spiritual healing. God knows what has happened to you. You were bestowed with free will when you were born, the will to change, the will to forgive. He sees everything, so no matter how alone you were or how alone you feel now, perhaps you are really struggling, know that He is there and waiting for you.

“I see everything they do. They cannot hide from me the things they do; their sin is not hidden from my eyes.”

Jeremiah 16:17-18

Rest assured that the above is as true as it gets. Although it can be frustrating and angering to accept that God sat by on the sidelines whilst you were seriously wronged, be assured, that you are independent and to interfere with humans in a supernatural way would impact free will. Those who wronged you have free will and He saw how they misused that to inflict suffering upon you and others.

Healing of the mind can be to work through ruminations. Ruminating is the act of focusing on something or to think deeply of something.

“Rumination is the focused attention on the symptoms of one’s distress, and on its possible causes and consequences, as opposed to its solutions”

From the above, it is understandable to see how difficult is it to even start the road to recovery or healing when you may be ruminating about the distress you have suffered. That is not to say that thinking about the issues is bad. Thinking through the issues and incidents can help to bring you to the level of awareness and acceptance. Acceptance leads to change remember. But, you also have to work with your body and mind to heal. Maybe you could try meditation or exercise? Both are great at helping reduce feelings of depression and anxiety. You could change your diet perhaps? The point is change.

AWARENESS = ACCEPTANCE = CHANGE = HEALING = FORGIVENESS

Can you better see the path that is available to you? Imagine you are now at the change phase. You are changing those daily rituals or habits. You are adding in extra activities to heal the body and mind. You might be socialising more… or less. The paradox can be that you don’t have to do anything to change. What do I mean by that? I mean that if you lived a pretty busy life full of extra curricular activities, exercise and socialising then change for you might be more quiet time sat at home reading a book. Yes change occured but you didn’t focus on the developmental journey to heal, yet, you did. Can be confusing to understand. Know that change is brought about by you. I think a lot of people are expecting help from an external source. Granted the resources are there, but a lot of people aren’t getting the help they need which means they have to do it themselves. Having a supportive network will only benefit those who need it as part of their change and healing.

Over time and with dedication, you will change and you will start to feel that part of your life that you have been waiting for. Healing. Healing can occur earlier such as when changing. But, usually it occurs during and slightly after. After change is when your mind and body start to heal. Healing can be the most painful phase, because it is the phase of ‘letting go’ and being prepared to ‘forgive’ another. Forgiveness is not dependent on social norms, it is not dependent on others thoughts toward you. In fact, nobody needs to hear you forgive if you prefer to keep it to yourself. Just as prayer can be solitary, so too forgiveness.

I wrote about how healing can occur in the heart. The heart is where love is at. If your emotional experience has been hurt of the heart, or hurt through love, then this is where you feel that healing. Utilising the crystal stones as I mentioned, particularly rose, may assist this part. The healing process can be months, or years. Usually the change occurs over the same amount of time. Dependent on what the original wrongs against you were, it is not expected that you will bounce back immediately to the forgiveness stage. You will need to be ready for the moment, and need to do it with compassion and conviction. There is nothing worse than seeing someone go from awareness to healing to fail at forgiveness, because they didn’t believe it what they were doing. Have faith in yourself, take the time and don’t rush. You may be able to live a perfectly content life merely in the phases of healing and change, because in those phases you are focused on your inner light.

To forgive someone who has not repented can be extremely hard. I wrote about this and how there might not be any reason to forgive if there has been no repentance. I think I said something like ‘you cannot be expected to forgive someone who hasn’t repented.’ I also said that those people who are capable of this were incredible beings and I stand by that. The writer talks about how forgiveness can be done alone, how it might affect you and why you should forgive those who won’t repent. I use repent not because of its association with religion but its association with forgiveness

If you reach the stage of forgiveness you have come far and you have done well. Goodness may seep from your heart and mind, your soul may be so strong that even the most evil of demons cower at your mere presence. Why? You have now saved yourself. You have taken the power of creation and existence and bestowed it upon yourself. You stepped to the side to let God have a say, and when you realised you had free will, you took a step back again, and decided that you had to make the choice, you had to change, you had to come to the point of forgiveness yourself. Despite what evil exists in the world, or what negativity tries to throw at you, or the lies and illusions of a world run by bad people, you did it.

Wizard doesn’t profess to be an expert on magic, but white magic is in abundance where forgiveness is present. To be good is to be white magic. You are making paths in space and time that cannot be undone. ‘For what is done cannot be undone.’ No matter how hard the journey or how isolating and confusing, you did it. You came through awareness to forgiveness and ultimately saved yourself. You have healed yourself. The emotional wounds which once had significance are evapourated. They no longer exist in you. You will focus on the adventures of the days to come, and of the love and beauty surrounding your heart. You will be closer to the connection of the universe than ever before. It is a wonderful experience. Light will radiate around you and no darkness shall befall you, for God will have seen your empathy and compassion and will command his angels regarding you.

Meditation Benefits~ Mind Solutions

Meditation is one of the oldest traditions in the world. Ancient civilisations and Buddhists and Africans were meditation thousands of years ago as a collective way to improve the whole of life, not just for themselves but for everyone else too.

Today in the 21st Century, meditation has taken on many modern forms. A lot of people see it as solitary, but looking back in history we can see that although you meditate alone it was not done to advance yourself to an affluent position, rather to become a better person. There are literally thousands of online resources about meditation and hundreds of meditation classes across England and Wales. A new found culture of people looking to improve their mood, to become better people, to experience some variety of enlightenment.

I am going to talk through 5 essential benefits of meditation. I want to give you an idea of how this is going to have a positive influence in your life. Sometimes things get hard or stressful, sometimes you become depressed or anxious. Other times you just want to improve yourself and feel more connected to God or the Universe. I understand. I’ve managed to use meditation to assist me before and am currently using a meditation that works for me. There are many types available, guided meditation or Samatha – calmness of the mind – are examples. Meditation can be as simple as mindfulness. You can practice meditation morning or night. I had the luxury of practicing in the garden at the weekend under a harvest moon and then in the dawn of sunrise. Both give a tranquil experience and help greatly in quietening any intrusive thoughts.

Buddhist Meditation

Benefits of Meditation!

  1. Calm Mind – There is no doubt in my mind that meditation in fact leads to a calm mind. The whole point of meditation is to calm the mind and to become better in tune with your body. At its core, you need a calm mind to meditate! Without the experience of meditation you may find your mind to be full of ‘clutter’ or ‘noise’. The noise or intrusive thoughts might be a fleeting thing, or it may plague you. Meditation over time will allow you to develop such a strong calmness that even after meditation, your mind will be clear from thoughts. Remember, thoughts come and go and they cannot harm us.
  2. Improve Depression and Anxiety – If you are sad or anxious you may be thinking about the past or the future. Depression can be improved through meditation, because you are not to be thinking of the bad things or to be thinking at all. It takes time, but simply being in the moment either alone or in a group, meditating, can be enough to help shift your depressed thinking to a higher level. Anxiety will naturally decrease as you learn to visualise other things, you stop focusing on the anxious events or things and then you forget about it. For those with pain, meditation can help shift you away from it and to more focused on your breathing for example, or the position of your feet, or simply that energy that comes from silence within.
  3. Ability to Cope – As a result of the above two, a calmer mind and reduced or improved depression and anxiety, you will thus have a significantly better chance of coping. The way you cope can be positive or negative, is can help or destroy you. Turning your struggles into a state of meditation and in turn, having a clearer mind and a stronger outcome or more certain decision you will see an improvement. Having a hard day and cannot get through? Wait… you can and that surprised you. You wonder why. Then you accept that for the last week you meditated everyday and actually it turns out it helped you through the present. Meditation can help those assisting others, we may be better in tune with our intuition and better able to help those in need. It will allow us to know instinctively what our own bodies need too.
  4. Connected to the Universe – It seems out there does it? The reality is that everything is connected, and there is no truth higher than that. You will be making a conscious effort to quieten the mind and in turn the body and soul will develop at first a low level feeling of connectivity. As you continue you may become warm after meditation and feel like you are never alone. You are simply connecting to the universe and God, and everything in it. You won’t feel alone as much. I certainly noticed this improvement after just 2 weeks of mindfulness meditation!
  5. Better Life Quality – Ultimately all of the above will improve your quality of life, or it should do. If you don’t feel like any of the above is happening, you might need to carry on for longer in your sessions, or perhaps you have not done it long enough? Everyone wants to feel better. Sometimes inner peace can bring us closer to that feeling of happiness or content. You might want a better life through being able to better understand how the world works, and maybe meditation is doing that for you? You have nothing to stop for, and everything to gain. There is no better quality of life than a clear mind.

Amethyst crystal to hold during meditation

Holding a crystal during meditation can help better focus on your aims. If you are looking to heal you could hold Amethyst (pictured above). Rose quartz can be used where you want to heal the heart. There is so many choices when it comes to healing crystals. Always treat your body with respect and the crystals because they can be powerful things.
