Return

Science is now the new white lie

It must be alright to believe everything an expert tells you

Somebody who has not got a clue what the truth is

Spills lies and deceit to earn their pay

Surely lord almighty there must be another way

At the end of the day

You should do it your way

If my vibrations could speak

They would cast you aside

If my dreams could speak

They would open your eyes

“To really feel the joy in life

Face the darkest days

If you open up your eyes

Put your trust in love”

Smooth failing.

Tides are turning.

Dreams are fading.

Faster and faster we turn.

Look up and see.

Look up and feel.

Your life may be free.

Take it slow.

Don’t turn around.

Bring fortune.

Deny lies.

Beneath surface of mottled waves.

Treacherous sons.

Divine surprise.

Gift inside.

Come and see you.

My friend.

Time is slowly drifting south.

Come up and see me.

Take my hand.

My friend.

Come beneath me.

Your unsung man.

Come and see me.

My friend.

Forget to heal me.

You sorry man.

This was a song for all of you to dance to.

Let the music move you.

Fall off of your castle high,

Take a deep look inside,

et amor populo,

caritate te ipsum,

undo the evil acts engrained in your memory,

rewrite the times that you hurt others,

plan a life to begin anew, rursus

and if that alien doesn’t sing,

well the universe ain’t going to be very happy.

Imagine looking into a mirror and seeing a stranger looking back,

Leaving you to find your way back,

And what if your heart and mind of pure love and caring were torn to shreds,

Would you consider yourself dead?

I didn’t expect so,

Try and let go.

That was a long time ago,

A rainbow formed over black skies,

A lot of things were lurking inside,

All it took was a moment,

Thin strings snapped and the world shook,

I wasn’t going to bother to look,

A friend came to me once and said, ‘everything will be okay, Thomas,’

I watched with glass eyes as she left back for the other side,

I don’t dream of badness and I don’t wish for it,

So, it makes me wonder if god is taking the piss,

Would you toss your cross to the floor and bare your chest for the seven seas to revere?

Would you hang up your cloak and call it a day just to find out you’ll never change that way?

Finally, the sun sets and I remember how those days long gone have become undone.

Every Day is a Fresh Start!

Welcome! How are you today? I am good, thank you! – English

Willkommen! Wie geht’s? Mir geht es gut, danke! – German

Прошу. Як справи? – Ukrainian

Laipni lūdzam. Kā jums klājas? – Latvian

With that random introduction I hope you are all well, sincerely. With time nowadays going slower – most likely due to it being beautiful autumn – I feel as if I can do more.

I am on some new medication to help with mental health. During this time in my life, I obviously need them. I was hesitant to mention this but why not? People struggle sometimes and you should not be afraid to talk about how you feel or your mental health! Good wellbeing is important to maintaining a positive mindset. Mindfulness and meditation can assist, as can healthy eating and exercise. Social interaction is important too. Allow your body and mind to heal any way you can. The downside is that I am slightly tired during the day – due to the sedating effects – although I take it at night.

My poem today is called Fresh Start. I hope it echoes my ambitions for the future. This year has gone by fast. We are already in October!

Plant the seed and watch her grow
power of the mind and I'm letting go
see her stem rise and the sun on her leaf
I can imagine, she'd be good to meet
her bright lit surface and rooted ground
she is growing, I am coming down
now she is high, reaching the sky
I am so glad, we can begin again.

Thanks for reading. If you liked then comment and like and reblog!

If you want to learn something new then consider using the internet! I say this as during the darker months keeping your mind active can make all the difference. I found some great sites to learn languages, for example; Lingoda and Pimsleur. Both offer language courses for a price each month.

Every day is a fresh start! Why not change every… single… day? Do something different every day. With the exception of some work which I would imagine involves some repetition. 😂😎

Remembering Our Humanity

Waiting in the hope that the darkness of night might just slip to allow...
our morning glory to shine through, as if you'd been painted in clay hope
but it didn't matter that folks were random code generated on lost desires
mind and heart were the ragings of the dream we once shared
bouncing between a hurt place and the base of my tree
to wake shivering in the cold where the leafs turned orange and red
believing truly that you were dead
yet through the mist came a shadowy knight
does he know that he made it alright
we move swiftly through graces blow, a little too much, a little too slow
a beckoning call of all humankind, a reality call for your sacred find.

Thanks for reading. I’ve come through fire these last two weeks. Something that was not expected but then again, the trying of times comes when we least expect it to. I’m rebuilding, strengthening myself up again to put myself back where I was before in terms of energy. Take care and be well all.

Find the song below shared for your pleasure.

English Proper, Darling.

High Tea is the best… I’m no gold Rolex though. Whos’ been busy today? 👋☕️

Of all the things you could do in the mornings, afternoon, evening and nights… it is teas and cakes. One of the most quintessential British cultural things you could possibly ever do.

I have always been the sort of person who enjoys tea and cake or tea and scones or tea and sandwiches. In most cases though, and depending on where you go and the cafe, it will usually consist of tea, sandwiches, cakes, biscuits and chatter. I believe it’s the most potent stress buster known to mankind.

Examine the picture below and you will identify the posh fondant cakes (when I was a kid these were as I’d imagine as addictive as cakes come. They were lovely although it has been many years since I had them (pink was my favourite). You will notice in the background the classic Victoria sponge cakes. In the foreground the delicious cucumber sandwiches (I am also a big fan of these) along with classics ham and cheese. There is an assortment of scones with cream and jam available. Last but not least don’t forget the fairy cakes. All of these would make quite the British tea outing. However, given the current economic situation people cannot simply afford these luxuries anymore.

*Before moving on, my apologies if I ever gave the impression, I am somehow against British culture. I am not. I simply mock it occasionally. I would not openly insult my own nationality and have been proud to be British for a long time. I might speak of other foreign countries and such, but that does not mean I am making them out to be better than my own or worse. This is a blog site and a place for open speech. Please comment with concerns if you have any.*

So, Britain has the High Tea and cakes. We also have another secret – The English Breakfast. I’m talking about both the tea and the breakfast foods.

I start with the foods. A meal that is popular for breakfast, lunch and dinner and is still enjoyed by millions to this day. With the increase in plant based foods and vegans, there are now multiple vegan options out there.

The meal usually consists of fried bread and butter, fried eggs, fried sausages, black pudding (not a fan of more than 1), mushrooms, beans, tomatoes, bacon (although not as popular as scrambled eggs on this) and hash browns. As a side you might enjoy some classic porridge oats. Drinks as we see in the picture are usually teas, coffees or orange fruit juices. A meal I haven’t had in a long time – many years – but I have had the vegan equivalent only a few months ago at a lovely cafe where I live. Because most if not all of this is fried it is in fact quite high in fats. But why not enjoy this as a one a week meal?

Onto the English Breakfast tea – very tasty even without milk. I used to believe this was going to have a very difficult to handle taste. That was not the case. It is rich and surprisingly satisfying. I would recommend this with scones or cakes. Or try it with the English breakfast meal. These are all super satisfying.

What you can do to unwind and destress is to simply be more like the British! Drink teas in the afternoon, enjoy a well-cooked breakfast once in a while and of course stay pleasant. We have an array of fantastic cultural sites ranging from medieval castles and the Tower of London to Stone Henge and the Battersea power station. We’ve been the birth site to Pink Floyd and The Beatles. We built the Mini cars. We are the leaders of the industrial revolution, and we conquered Napoleon at Waterloo. Britain recently had the longest serving monarch in history. Britain is a country to delve into.

Thanks for reading. Have a wonderful day.

From Acid to Alkaline ~ Healthy Body

From the diet we eat to the lack of exercise we are always in an acidic body environment most of the time. If we want to improve out health we should try to reduce the acidic foods we consume and create a healthy diet for our bodies to heal. Healing takes time and so will change.

Start changing today to see results tomorrow.

It was said that an acidic body can be the sort of environment that can promote disease and illness.

There is a variety of healthy foods that can reduce your body acidic levels. This post on LiveStrong -https://www.livestrong.com/article/321217-foods-that-reduce-acidity-in-your-body/ – talks about alkaline and acidic foods. Remember that acid reflux is caused by too much acid and a weak esophagus (or a combination of things). The most obvious acid base foods are fried foods – but this does not mean you cannot eat fast food at all.

For example, you could simply have it less often, maybe a pizza once a month or something. In my opinion it is not a crime of the body to eat fast food, because we are human and we have one life so why not live it, eh? Of course that is not an excuse for you to go and stuff your body with it, because your body will get sick fast. Diabetes, high blood pressure, cancer and organ dysfunction are some outcomes of a poor diet and acidic body. Dr Axe also talks about these foods in more detail here: https://draxe.com/nutrition/acidic-foods/

But don’t forget that teas and coffees are also acidic, and some other daily dietary foods like dairy. Diet is the 1st line of defence against acidic bodies and the best thing to change to see results. Second to that we have other options available.

At the moment I am on prescription strength sodium bicarbonate capsules. This is a treatment for acid reflux among others. It is also an effective ph neutraliser. Exercise is usually a great method of keeping healthy and sweating will expel your toxins and help aid healing within the body.

If you suffer gastric issues; like reflux and general indigestion then don’t overdo it. Walking or swimming or light exercise might be best. In time your body will boost its effectiveness in ridding itself of toxins whilst increasing circulation, boosting mental health (important) and reducing the risk of chronic health conditions.

Stress needs to be addressed but this is more of a mental health and wellbeing issue than relating to acid base body. But being relaxed and having improved moods will enable you to feel more motivated to eat a healthy diet.

So, go out there and change your body for the better.

A Space to Divine

Our space to divine
was a gift from the vineyard
a hand that swiftly takes a memory
grazing on momentous foundries
to bliss in intent
creating from the heart

Are you writing today?

I like to write as you know. But I love to hear about your writing just as much. Please comment below if you have written anything lately that you would like to mention here. It can be anything from a poem to a short story, anything. I try to write when I can which is sometimes not every day. At the moment I’m going for the short novellas in the mini-Beach Town: Survivors series along with trying my hand at some noir crime thriller, which is just for fun.

Welcome to October

Vegans do not eat eggs, do not drink milk and do not make exceptions. I have encountered 2 people in the last 2 weeks claiming they know a vegan who eats eggs. They are not vegan, they are vegetarians, or some variety of vegetarian.

Now that is cleared up, I can move onto a brief poem to welcome the full forces of autumn and the upcoming month. Today marks the start of Black History Month in England. As you can see from the painting below, an iconic figure for the rights of minority groups.

Poem: Autumn!

Greens to yellows and reds
my bed of roses is now dancing in the moonlights shadow
neighbourly connections
surreptitious directions
jewels that hung on the balcony
wet days on the way

As we approach the darker months of the year it is so important to connect and be with other people. I think we should be connecting in person but talking online is just as good. Video calls would be better since you are able to gauge the facial expressions of the other person. As mentioned in a previous post going to church can be a good way to connect with likeminded people. Attending any group would be a start. I am of course talking to myself at the same time as typing this; I should be doing this and more often.

Some suggestions:

  • Walking groups
  • Coffee groups/ coffee morning meetups etc
  • Art groups
  • Online groups – online quizzes and presentations or general chit chat
  • Religious groups – anything from church to a meditation group (lots online now)
  • Courses – like a short course either in person or online

As for solo activities I can think of a few to keep you busy! This is assuming you live alone though

  • Walking/dancing/exercise in any form at home and outside
  • Healthy eating/cooking/baking/dinner parties hosting or attending
  • Going to the cinema or to a show – with people as well!
  • Painting and drawing
  • Writing and blogging of course!
  • Meditation
  • Learning something new! online courses at home or even in person!
  • Travelling somewhere new
  • Reading
  • Home decoration/renovations
  • Movies and tv at home
  • Creating a routine if you want one
  • Connecting with other people – in any form
  • Visit historical places

There is a lot of things you could do in the autumn months. I can imagine taking a long walk in the countryside would be nice. Or perhaps going for some high tea in the local teashop. This is something I want to do, and I intend to go to London for some high tea. As for visiting historical places, you can do that with people too. I’d like to get down to the Tower of London and visit Clarkson’s farm at some point.

Welcome to autumn. Welcome to October. Spooky month for most of us! That reminds me, why not turn the entire month into an even for yourself and have a fantastic Halloween! No limits. No restriction on what you can and cannot do.

Morning Visit to – St Thomas’s Church

Since the last few weeks has proved quite challenging for me in terms of my physical health and mental health, I decided to start revisiting church.

I am a believer and to me keeping my faith strong is important for my mental and physical wellbeing. The only issue is that I lacked church visitation, which I am not too happy about. Mostly because I don’t like to attend on my own. Today I made an effort to go out around 10am to visit the St Thomas’s Church which is within an hour of where I live and has been on my radar for a while. I have seen many old churches which are in much better condition, this was still in good condition but inside you can tell it doesn’t have the funding that others do. I spoke to a gentleman who confirmed the funding was poor. I understand time are hard, but it is surely the Church of England that should be taking it upon itself to provide adequate funding and repairs and not the general public who can only give what they can afford most of the time.

You will notice that this is huge, like most churches, and it has an upstairs which I was not expecting. I will be returning in the near future for sure to attend a Holy Communion service. I was granted permission to take photographs.

I was respectful to the altar and not to cross the wrong boundaries, but the public can enter the choir gallery area.

The first thing I saw when I stepped into the church.

The church is large but apparently has a small congregation of people who attend regularly. I hope that more people will attend services here. It is one of a number of Church of England churches throughout Greater Manchester. I have yet to visit St. Peters church and St. Georges churches. I do intend to visit them but finding them open is very difficult considering that they are only open on Sunday for a brief time. This was not always the case.

Funding has blatantly decreased, and the public seem less interested in church and religions than ever before. The advent of modern belief systems has drawn a substantial part of the populace away from traditions like Christianity toward new age enlightenment beliefs and such. This is of course not deterring from the fact that there are around 2.83 billion Christians in the world making it the largest religion still to this day based on the teachings of Jesus Christ. A whopping 1.9 billion are Islamic and 1.25 billion are Hindu. Around 1.1 billion are non-religious. I hope that puts things in perspective – you should never feel ashamed of your faith. There will be others, so don’t be afraid to connect with them. The writer of Hebrews encourages the gathering together of friends and family as a community for support, love and wellbeing.

I was a little apprehensive about visiting as I haven’t done so in a while. I hope any future visits will provide an opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals. Thank you so much for reading and I hope the pictures are enjoyable too.

If you liked then please like, comment and let me know whether you are a part of a belief system or if you are an atheist.

I Found The Tree

Welcome to this poem. Firstly, I want to apologise for not posting in the last twelve or so days. I was unfortunately quite unwell in hospital from the 16th of September to the 27th when I was allowed to leave. Still recovering, albeit at home. I think this is a trying time for me but as always staying true to my faith and with a courageous heart facing the unknown.

Blinded by the light

my eyes they take the night

when my heart ceased to beat

I began to meet, myself

on the brink of the unknown

fizzing through dimensions

as the angels sing praise of God

I drop into the open water

and sparks streak across my vision

and life seems so pale and empty

yet full of life is beaming through the haze

made out of clay, finding the way

to the top, waiting for my destiny, to hop

hop into the love and the light

extremely peaceful seduction

that radiates from my mind.

Another Realm

Please consider reading my other poem called ‘The 5th Dimension’

https://psychedelicwizard.wordpress.com/2022/05/17/5th-dimension/

I must have decided reality was too much

plunged the knife

off we go to the wonderful after...

but wait, your deception is the game

seeing the world all the same

through the translucence of your light

pain you inflict and torment you enact mean nothing

there will be no salvation for your sins

and through the dark comes Michael

sword that radiates love

a Christ redeemer implanted from above

to reckon with the damned

'you will not have him today', he called

to find you were the architect

waking on your bed

my God, I thought I was dead.

Eternity

Everlasting love
love creates
fear destroys... hearts
waiting for the start
of your life
in the fragile existence
of your mind

hovering above crystal water
remember that there is law and order
in our lands... which we stole from ether
upon the mountain
strung and hanging by the tether
of remorse

acceded
proceeded
your burning heart
set alight by the narrow light
shining through your razor sharp wire
light of eternity
beginning the fraternity

jewels, moon lights
necklace or chalice... delights
throne high so down
into the rust
rocks, depth
panic
scream

kilowatt manner power house
time to tame your plugs
unplug
for infinity.
